Original Song

My style is deeply rooted in bluegrass and folk music, and my act is one that I try to approach as a storyteller would – to build a connection with the audience, create a fun energy, and pick a good mix of moods in songs. Most of the stuff I like to play (whether my own or someone else’s) are songs meant to make you laugh, make you cry, or make you think. What I try to bring in is a unique style of storytelling, with some quirky phrasing or clever word-smithing. Even with covers, I like to throw in stuff that the audience hasn’t heard every single other cover artist play. My taste is all over the place, but writers like John Prine, Bruce Springsteen, Merle Haggard, and Bobby Gentry are some of my favorites.
